Kyla Guru Loves cyber-security related topics?

Kyla Guru observed that there was a lack of cyber security education for kids as well as adults.  To fill this gap, Kyla launched a national non-profit, Bits and Bytes Cyber Security Education, which she started as a freshman in high school. Today as a junior in high school, Kyla’s organization offers curriculum and workshops for individuals between the ages of 5 and 95.

In this episode we discuss:

  • What sparked her interest in cyber security education
  • How she was able to begin providing training within her local school district
  • How as a young person, she code switches to speak with adults and others when pursuing and developing partnerships
