Andrew Yang, a democratic presidential candidate shares his thoughts on how to prepare young people for the changing economy.
Last week, Andrew Yang stood on a crowded stage with 9 other democratic presidential candidates. For many, this may have been their first introduction to Yang, a successful entrepreneur who’s proposing universal basic income and human centered capitalism. However, Yang is the author of “Smart People Should Build Things” and “The War on Normal People”. He’s also the founder of Venture for America, an organization that reminds me a bit of a combination of Teach for America and Peace Corps and organization that leverages the energy of young people to support and grow small businesses in key urban communities. Before he announced his candidacy, I had an opportunity to speak with Andrew about the future of work and how we prepare young people to thrive in a rapidly changing economy.
